Keira and Lana from @askhambryancollege are taking part in a Turing Scheme-funded animal management project in Aruba, working closely with flamingos, tortoises and other species at De Palm Island.

From daily animal care and monitoring flamingo behaviour to supporting veterinary activities, their project is giving them valuable hands-on experience while also allowing them to share their own knowledge with rangers and visitors.

Alongside their work, they have embraced Aruban life and culture – exploring the island, discovering its native wildlife and even learning Papiamento!

In this video, Keira and Lana take us behind the scenes of their project and share some of the experiences, skills and memories they have gained in Aruba.

Fern is taking part in a Turing Scheme-funded project in Aruba, where she is gaining hands-on experience with Atlantis Submarines while discovering the fascinating world of marine conservation.

From giving presentations on board to supporting submarine dives, Fern is learning how Aruba protects its coral reefs and marine ecosystems while balancing conservation with sustainable tourism.
