Turing Scheme

Projects co-funded by the Turing Scheme programme of the UK government.

At the end of 2025, Sam and Ola, students from Everton Football College, took part in a Turing Scheme training placement in Jamaica with Everything is Possible. Hosted in Kingston, their project took place at Hope Valley Experimental School, where they supported school activities, worked alongside teachers and engaged closely with students through sport and physical education.

From the very beginning, Sam and Ola were welcomed into the school community. After introducing themselves to the pupils, they quickly became involved in PE lessons and helped organise after-school football sessions. These activities provided a positive and inclusive space for students, while allowing Sam and Ola to share their passion for sport and teamwork in a new cultural context.

Their placement was not without challenges. Shortly after their arrival, a hurricane affected the area, leading to temporary school closures. Throughout this period, Sam and Ola showed adaptability, patience and resilience. Once the school reopened, they were able to resume their activities and continue building strong connections with students and staff.

Over the course of their placement, both participants developed valuable personal and professional skills. Working in an unfamiliar environment helped them gain confidence, improve communication skills and better understand the importance of flexibility when working abroad. The experience also deepened their awareness of different education systems and the role sport can play in supporting young peopleโ€™s development.

Now back in the United Kingdom, Sam and Ola look back on their time in Jamaica as a highly rewarding experience. To share their reflections, Everything is Possible is publishing two short testimonial videos. In these videos, Sam and Ola speak in their own words about what they did during the project, what they learned, and how the experience has shaped their outlook for the future.

The project was co-funded by the Turing Scheme programme of the UK government, with the support of Everton Football College, 138 Student Living Jamaica and Hope Valley Experimental School.

Everything is Possible is proud to announce that we have once again received funding from the UK Governmentโ€™s Turing Scheme.

We are incredibly pleased and grateful for this support. In the past, the Turing Scheme has enabled us to offer life-changing opportunities to young people โ€“ opening doors, broadening horizons, and creating lasting impact.

With this new grant, weโ€™re ready to go even further. It will allow us to continue our mission of upskilling young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, helping them gain valuable experience abroad and grow in confidence, skills and ambition.

Thank you to the Turing Scheme for making this possible โ€“ we canโ€™t wait to see what our young people will achieve next!

Young people: stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to go abroad โ€“ exciting projectsย areย onย theย way!
