My name is Jon-Paul Vass. I went on a project in Valencia
During my project, we trained every morning with the Spanish pro football academy and then later coached children from San Jose academy. As well as the football we did lots of other cultural activities which included, making paella, going to the beach and seeing the fresh food market in the town centre.
Thanks to Erasmus+, professionally I learned how young children in Spain get brought up to play football and how it is different to the way English kids play the game and how they are taught it as well.
Personally, I learnt that Spanish football is a lot less demanding than the English game and that they struggle to play at a very quick tempo as they like to slow the game down and build up through the pitch.
