View all countries
Hope Valley Experimental School (HVES) is a unique institution in Kingston 7, Jamaica, that caters to both students with special needs and able-bodied learners.
Our mission is to build an inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Trainees support teachers with literacy, numeracy, life skills and creative activities.
Tasks may include one-on-one support for children with disabilities, small group learning, classroom preparation and helping students develop independence and confidence. Trainees may also participate in co-curricular areas such as sports, art, music and social development programs, which are vital for building social skills and self-expression.
In addition, they are encouraged to share aspects of their own culture with students and staff, creating opportunities for cross-cultural learning.
This placement will provide valuable experience in inclusive education while allowing trainees to make a lasting difference in the lives of children.
